Welcome to Brownies
Brownies are aged between 7 and 10 and are our largest section within GLW.
Once a girl joins, she will be able to experience a whole new world of interests, friends and adventure.
The programme includes a variety of activities; games, crafts, singing, badge work, laughter and other activities. Often the activities have been chosen by the Brownies themselves. All these will challenge them to do their best, work with others, learn new life skills and to have fun.
Brownies are encouraged to develop leadership skills and are grouped into “Sixes” with older girls taking on the role of “Sixer”, assisted by “Seconds”.
In addition to these weekly meetings there are often lots of opportunities to take part in special activities and events at the weekend and in the school holidays. These can range from a picnic in the park, a day trip to London or a Residential holiday.
